Job summary

Wells Fargo in Milwaukee seeks a Branch Manager to lead sales and service across checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments. You will coach a branch team, set expectations, and drive growth while ensuring strong risk management and regulatory compliance.

You will develop staff, deepen customer relationships, and collaborate with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending partners.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
  • Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
  • Ability to analyze performance, identify strengths and opportunities, and execute action plans
  • Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Success managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
  • Ability to identify complex financial needs and build relationships with customers, internal partners, and community stakeholders
  • Ability to lead teams in educating customers about digital banking solutions
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before branch placement
  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies regarding financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
  • Must not require visa sponsorship

  • Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning into a Branch Manager position, unless already serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager
