Job summary

Wells Fargo in Washington state seeks an experienced Branch Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive branch growth. You will build and retain robust customer relationships while delivering tailored financial solutions across deposits, lending, cards, and investments.

You will coach and develop staff, ensure compliance with banking regulations, and partner with Wealth & Investment Management and Home Lending to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals.
• Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive growth.
• Knowledge of banking laws, regulations, risk, and loss prevention.
• Must be able to work Saturdays and travel up to 50% in early placement.
• SAFE registration required at employment.

Job description

• Serve as the branch sales leader, acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
• Drive growth in primary checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
• Lead, coach, and develop the branch team to improve banker productivity
• Foster an engaged, accountable culture focused on identifying customer financial needs and recommending Wells Fargo solutions
• Balance growth objectives with operational risk management
• Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program unless already serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager
• Build and retain a high-performing team through clear expectations and targeted coaching
• Deliver tailored consumer and business solutions
• Use observation, feedback, reporting, and follow-up to improve capability and performance
• Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending
• Educate customers about digital banking options
• Manage risk, resolve issues, and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company

Requirements

• 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
• Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
• Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans
• Experience managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
• Ability to lead teams in influencing, educating, and connecting customers to technology
• Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
• Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
• Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before placement in a specific branch
• SAFE registration required at the time of employment; Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
• Must satisfy Wells Fargo standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
