Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Manager of Program Management for Development Test Operations to lead a team of PMs embedded with engineering groups. You will define the program vision, govern the portfolio, and raise the bar for testing quality and process discipline.

Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Engineering and Planning, manage resources and budget, and ensure timely delivery of test programs and milestones. Hybrid in‑office role with broad impact on autonomous tech programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Program Management, Project Management, or Technical Operations.
• 5+ years directly managing a team of PMs.
• Strong fluency in engineering/development workflows and translating plans into test programs.
• Experience managing relationships with Engineering leadership and Planning/Portfolio stakeholders.
• Experience in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with shifting priorities.
• Track record of driving change management and process improvement across a team.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic planning and alignment for the team, including vision, governance, and resourcing.
• Coach and develop a team of Program Managers with consistent operating norms.
• Own program-level planning across engineering areas with clear scope and due dates; ensure test procedures are executable.
• Ensure PMs are single points of contact with their engineering areas, with clear escalation paths.
• Manage resources, budget, and track dependencies.
• Share test program risks and mitigations with stakeholders.
• Review QA quality trends and drive root-cause improvements; close feedback loop with Engineering and Operations.
• Drive standardized workflows and a weekly reporting cadence.
