Job summary

CoverMyMeds is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Governance to lead the implementation and ongoing operation of its data governance and data enablement capabilities. This leader will build and manage a team of domain data analysts and data stewards who support business domains by addressing data quality, lineage, metadata, catalog, and data product controls.

This hands-on leadership role translates governance strategies into practical services, partnering with enterprise teams to embed governance

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience with 9+ years of related work
• Experience implementing or operating data governance or data enablement programs in complex organizations
• Knowledge of data governance principles including quality, metadata, lineage, cataloging and stewardship
• Experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
• Ability to translate governance policies into operational processes
• Strong communication and change-management skills
• Experience with healthcare or regulated data is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of domain data analysts and data stewards for data governance and quality controls
• Operationalize a data enablement framework with policies, standards and procedures
• Monitor data quality, lineage, metadata, cataloging, and data product controls across domains
• Partner with data officers, owners, enterprise architecture, IT security, legal and compliance
• Align analysts with business domains to develop subject-matter expertise
• Identify and remediate data quality issues with data owners and tech teams
• Define and monitor data enablement metrics and KPIs
• Drive adoption of data governance services and cross-functional support
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA)
• Coach team members with goal setting and collaborative problem solving
