Job summary
Timken seeks a senior leader to guide the Customer Engineering team, shaping product and technical strategies across the Americas and worldwide. You will drive engagement with customers, translate requirements into practical solutions, and lead the team in delivering competitive quotes and robust, validated motion-control applications.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of technical experience with customers/OEMs.
- 5+ years in motion knowledge for customer-facing automation applications; 10+ preferred.
- 5+ years in motion control leadership; 10+ years preferred.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: engages with customers and visits facilities to understand needs.
- Application: defines how CGI products are applied; identifies gaps and proposes roadmaps.
- Technical Requirements Translation: acts as voice of the customer to internal teams.
- Quoting and Estimation: analyzes RFQs and develops detailed cost estimates.
- Management: leads an application engineering team and allocates resources.
- Market Intelligence: stays informed on gear tech and integrated solutions.
- Product Validation and Life Cycle Support: defines validation criteria and supports lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership for motion control and automation markets globally.
