Timken Company seeks a Senior/Principal Process Engineer - NA Rail Services to lead electrical controls, automation, and manufacturing improvements across North America Rail Services. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robotics expertise, partnering with operations, maintenance, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience applying electrical engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and automated manufacturing systems.
• Proficiency with PLC programming and HMI development.
• Experience with VFDs, servo systems, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead initiatives that improve electrical safety, machine safeguarding and risk reduction.
• Ensure OSHA/NFPA compliance and incident investigations.
• Analyze equipment and process data to identify improvements.
• Lead Lean, root cause analysis and reliability initiatives.
• Design, program, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA and motion control systems.
• Integrate robotics, machine vision, sensors, drives and automated equipment.
• Develop electrical schematics, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Lead capital projects from conception through startup and handoff.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, maintenance and operations resources.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and training to maintenance and production.
