Job summary

Timken invites experienced engineers to lead the Customer Engineering team, shaping product and technical strategies for medical, aerospace, and robotics markets. You will drive customer engagements, translate needs into technical roadmaps, and provide expert leadership across regions.

This role requires deep expertise in gear systems and motion control, with a track record of managing engineering teams and defining performance criteria for validated solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of technical experience in customer/OEM environments.
• At least 5 years in motion knowledge in customer-facing automation application engineering.
• At least 5 years of motion control leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand needs and translate them into technical roadmaps.
• Define how CGI/Timken products are applied in customer systems and identify gaps.
• Provide technical leadership for motion control in the Americas and globally.
• Lead application engineering team, including priorities and recruitment.
• Develop cost estimates for materials, labor, and tooling for RFQs.
• Stay informed on gear technology trends to provide expert advice.
• Support product validation and lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
