Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a senior Client Manager to lead the CORE East team, driving performance, retention, and growth across a portfolio of national accounts. You will shape renewal strategies, nurture senior client and broker relationships, and partner with Sales, Underwriting, and other functions to deliver exceptional client value.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in account management or benefit consulting.
• 5+ years of employee benefit experience.
• Experience managing teams or supervising staff.
• Strong understanding of global health benefits landscape and multinational clients.
• Excellent relationship and account management skills; negotiation and renewal prowess.
• Ability to partner with internal and external resources to achieve objectives.
• Proven consultative client management methodologies.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment; resilient.
• Willingness to travel to visit clients and brokers.
• Financial acumen in health insurance underwriting, pricing, trend and portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages the CORE East Client Managers team and measures performance across key metrics.
• Drives portfolio management and renewal execution across CORE East.
• Leads talent development, hiring, and coaching to grow team capabilities.
• Represents CORE East with key client and broker relationships in executive reviews.
• Builds internal partnerships to improve execution and client experience.
• Translates goals into team objectives and operating rhythms.
• Leads complex client and broker escalations with clear ownership and timely resolution.
• Supports business planning for CORE segment, including growth and retention.
• Acts as senior voice for CORE East needs across the enterprise.
• Establishes partnerships across CHC domestic, Evernorth and international regions.
