Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Manager Contracts Administration to oversee the MDI BU contracts portfolio. The role emphasizes leading a dispersed team, managing proposals, and ensuring strong customer satisfaction and risk mitigation. Hybrid work may be available.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with significant people management experience, or a Master’s with broader expertise, and U.S. Government Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Experience negotiating and administering various contract types and sizes with the United States Government or commercial entities.
• Prior people management experience.
• Prior experience as a prime contractor and first-tier subcontractor with FAR, DFARS, and OTA Requests for Proposal and Contracts.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and effectively bring projects to completion.
• Prior leadership experience, including employee development and task delegation.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve contractual documents to protect the company’s contractual/risk posture and ensure compliance.
• Make timely decisions and coordinate with technical, program, and functional stakeholders.
• Be a role model for inclusion and diverse perspectives in problem solving.
• Provide concise and effective executive communication.
• Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate contracts.
• Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities.
• Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and direct reports.
• Coach and develop a team of high-performing managers and professionals.
• Ensure a robust talent pipeline through effective organizational management.
• Other duties as assigned
