Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Manager Contracts Administration to lead the MDI BU contracts portfolio, oversee a dispersed team, and drive performance and risk management. The role requires directing contract strategy, negotiations, and customer relations within a 9/80 hybrid schedule.

You will mentor managers, ensure regulatory compliance, and build a strong talent pipeline while delivering mission-critical outcomes for national and global security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Experience negotiating and administering various contract types and sizes with the U.S. Government or commercial entities.
• Prior people management experience.
• Prior experience as a prime contractor and first-tier subcontractor with FAR, DFARS, and OTA RFPs and contracts.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to bring projects to completion.
• Prior leadership experience, including employee development and task delegation.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve contractual documents to protect the company's posture and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Provide guidance and collaborate with technical, program, and functional stakeholders.
• Model inclusive leadership and seek diverse perspectives to solve complex problems.
• Provide concise and effective executive communication to stakeholders.
• Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate contracts as needed.
• Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer interactions to ensure proper acquisition and fulfillment per policies and requirements.
• Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and direct reports.
• Coach and develop a high-performing team of managers and professionals.
• Ensure a robust talent pipeline through effective organizational management.
