Role & responsibilities
Areas of responsibilities:
1. Planning & Resource Management:
- Determine and review all equipment, material, and manpower requirements for project execution.
- Forecast timelines, resource needs, and construction durations based on project scope.
- Ensure alignment of site execution with the approved project schedule.
2. Compliance, Permits & Safety:
- Obtain all required work permits and ensure work is carried out strictly as per approved method statements.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, statutory, and company HSE standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the site.
3. Execution & Construction Management:
- Lead and manage day-to-day construction operations and site teams.
- Ensure implementation of the scope of work and project specifications as per approved drawings and schedule.
- Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to technical and quality requirements.
4. Quality Control & Assurance:
- Supervise and validate critical construction activities such as formwork, reinforcement.
- Ensure timely inspection and approval from client representatives.
- Maintain strict quality assurance procedures across all construction phases.
5. Materials & Client Coordination:
- Coordinate with the client for approval of materialsespecially finishing materials like marble, granite, and tiles—before and after procurement.
- Ensure all changes to specifications, drawings, or work scope are properly documented and communicated.
6. Subcontractor & Contract Management:
- Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Possess strong knowledge of contracts and claims, including early identification of potential risks or variations.
- Support commercial teams in certification and claims resolution.
7. Productivity & Cost Control:
- Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, formwork, materials, and manpower.
- Monitor labor productivity and investigate deviations to implement corrective actions.
- Track material consumption and ensure wastage remains within acceptable norms.
8. Monitoring, Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, opportunities, and resource needs to the Project Manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Ensure all stakeholders remain informed and aligned with project objectives.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong expertise in construction methodologies specially in finishing works.
- Expertise in QA/QC processes and technical standards.
- Sound knowledge of contracts, claims and subcontractor management.
- Good at Planning & Scheduling.
- Experience of Commercial bldg execution like IT Park, Hotels, Hospitals, Malls & High-End Offices & Residences.
