Job summary

Nikhil Constructiongroup is seeking an experienced Manager Building Projects (Finishing Works) to lead end-to-end finishing activities for high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use and premium building projects. The role focuses on execution, planning, quality, productivity, cost control and timely handover.

You will supervise plaster, screed, waterproofing, tiling, painting, doors and joinery while coordinating with MEP, facade, QA/QC, design and procurement teams to deliver milestones

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in building construction with strong exposure to finishing works.
• Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use or premium building projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials, methods, specifications and construction sequences.
• Experience handling multiple floors/work fronts and subcontractors.
• Good coordination, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver project milestones while maintaining quality, cost and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute finishing activities as per project schedule and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed finishing plans, micro-schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Manage floor-wise work fronts, manpower, materials and subcontractor deployment.
• Lead execution of plaster, screed, waterproofing, tiling, painting, joinery and finishes.
• Coordinate with MEP, facade, QA/QC, design, procurement, stores and commercial teams.
• Review drawings, BOQs, materials, mock-ups and method statements before execution.
• Monitor progress, productivity, manpower, material consumption and front availability.
• Manage subcontractors including mobilization, allocation, productivity and billing inputs.
• Conduct inspections with QA/QC, consultants and clients; close observations timely.
• Control material wastage, rework and finishing costs; support handover.

Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Manager Building Projects (Finishing Works) to lead end-to-end finishing activities for high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use and premium building projects. The role will be responsible for execution, planning, quality, productivity, cost control, subcontractor management, coordination and timely handover.
• Candidates with strong experience in high-rise building finishing and project execution will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute finishing activities as per project schedule, drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed finishing plans, micro-schedules and weekly/fortnightly look-ahead plans.
• Manage floor-wise work fronts, manpower, materials and subcontractor deployment.
• Lead execution of plaster, screed, waterproofing, tiling, stone/marble, flooring, painting, gypsum/false ceiling, doors, windows, joinery and other architectural finishes.
• Coordinate with MEP, faade, QA/QC, design, procurement, stores and commercial teams.
• Review drawings, BOQs, approved materials, mock-ups and method statements before execution.
• Monitor daily progress, productivity, manpower, material consumption and work-front availability.
• Manage subcontractors including mobilization, work allocation, productivity, measurements, billing inputs and performance.
• Conduct inspections with QA/QC, consultants and client representatives and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Control material wastage, rework and finishing costs.
• Drive snagging, de-snagging, testing, cleaning and area/building handover.
• Support RA bills, quantity verification, variations/change orders and cost-control activities.
• Maintain DPRs, progress reports, inspection records, material approvals, test reports and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, project SOPs and statutory requirements.
• Lead and mentor finishing engineers, supervisors, foremen and site teams.
