Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago seeks a Sr. Manager of Application Development to lead multiple teams in delivering secure, scalable, cloud-enabled enterprise applications.

This role guides architecture, ensures delivery excellence, and partners with stakeholders across risk, compliance, and operations. You will drive Agile/Scrum delivery, cloud adoption in AWS, and DevSecOps practices while mentoring engineers and aligning projects with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 15+ years software engineering and application development experience, including 5+ years managing engineering teams.
• 8+ years hands-on leadership with Salesforce ecosystem, across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple application development teams in design, development, modernization, delivery and support of secure, cloud-enabled enterprise applications.
• Guide architecture decisions, remove delivery impediments, ensure high-quality software using modern practices.
• Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity and IT leadership to translate needs into sustainable solutions.
• Drive Agile/Scrum delivery, cloud-native patterns, DevSecOps and CI/CD across portfolios including Salesforce and risk/compliance apps.
