Job summary

Regions Financial Corporation seeks an experienced Software Engineer Manager to oversee application development for a large department. You will lead a team responsible for a cloud-native platform built on .NET, AWS, OpenShift, and SQL, guiding modernization and ensuring scalable, secure services.

The role focuses on strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and driving execution across technology and business units. Onsite with potential remote/hybrid options as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Eight (8) years of relevant experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
• Experience in a Technology role in banking or financial services is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of and ability to interpret applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within areas of responsibility.
• Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management to develop technology solutions that increase efficiency and support business opportunities.
• Creates and refines operational processes to ensure regulatory and audit compliance.
• Plans, designs, develops, and verifies lifecycle balanced system solutions.
• Evaluates customer needs to define system performance requirements and ensure interface compatibility.
• Supports planning, organization, and monitoring of requirements through management processes.
• Partners across TODD to strengthen risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity.
• Ensures disciplined change management by evaluating risk and control impacts.
