Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Manager, Clinical R&D — Joints Robotics to lead clinical research and development for joint robotics within the Orthopaedics team. This remote position favors candidates based in Boston, MA or Warsaw, IN, with travel up to 20%.

You will own clinical strategy, input to R&D, investigations, data interpretation, and external scientific communication to support regulatory submissions and surgeon adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree requirement in engineering or medical degree as applicable.
• Surgical/clinical exposure (OR observation or engagement with high-volume surgeons).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external clinical partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute clinical R&D strategy for joints robotics (pre-market inputs and post-market rolls outs and investigations).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, regulatory, quality, clinical affairs, marketing, and commercial to align clinical plans with product and regulatory objectives.
• Assist in gathering voice of customers from the field and potential future users.
• Help distil clinical and commercial inputs towards new product development.
• Lead the clinical field investigations pipeline and execution.
• Lead the new product roll out R&D support to the field and R&D support to train the trainers.
