Overview:


Veeco is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development - Global Service Solutions. This position is accountable to develop Services' products roadmap, strategies, pricing, and market opportunities for Labor, Spares, and Upgrades. This person will partner closely with region sales, region service team, and Product Line Management, to ensure the Service Products are positioned correctly.This is a leadership position that will require close partnership and collaboration with multiple functions within Veeco, as well as with Veeco's customers, to enhance installed base productivity and Veeco's profitability.



This position reports to VP, Global Service Solutions and requires ~20% travel. Location preference is San Jose CA or Somerset NJ.



Responsibilities:



  • Developing Service products collateral and strategy. Creating and maintaining the product roadmap for spares, labor and upgrades, as well as training the Region Service and Sales teams accordingly.

  • Creating and maintaining an accurate data base of Veeco's installed base, Determining the served available market and developing opportunities for the penetration of Service Labor, Spares, and Upgrades, in collaboration with Veeco's service. Sales, and Product Line Management teams.

  • Analyzing market trends of competitor and peer companies for Service Products and Support to enable Veeco to positively differentiate our system performance and service offerings.

  • Working closely with Product Line Management and service management teams to determine product pricing that is fair, competitive, and enables penetration/defense strategies.



Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and aminimum experience of 5 years in the semiconductor capital equipment industry is required.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • Experience managing people and building a team is preferred.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and mentoring skills

  • Strong influencing skills and ability to manage and motivate people across regional and cultural boundaries.

  • Specific experience managing Spares, Service Labor, and Upgrade product lines is a plus

  • Good business development and business/financial management skills

  • Experience developing Product Roadmaps, Sales strategies, as well as managing Product Life Cycles

  • Excellent data analytic skills, proficiency in MS Excel and SAP

  • Willing to travel to other Veeco sites, and occasionally customers' site, up to 20% of the time, as needed.



The expected salary range for this position is $146,734.00 - 185,862.75, plus bonus opportunity. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
