Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or a related field.
• Ability to travel occasionally throughout the region and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Enhance storytelling to showcase Macy’s as a leading brand and retail innovator.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies for brand and product initiatives to generate positive media coverage.
• Build and maintain relationships with national and regional media contacts; pitch stories for ongoing placements.
• Create and edit press materials and advisories; manage new media content development.
• Oversee media training for spokespeople and coordinate crisis communication when needed.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners to recap media results quarterly.
• Review communications materials to ensure alignment with Macy’s mission and goals.
• Assist in budgeting for the brand and product communications pillar.
