Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) seeks a hands-onTechnical Lead to guide a team of developers and analysts building custom tools between HHMI’s enterprise systems. You will lead design, build, testing, and deployment of secure applications, while driving AI-assisted development and platform modernization across the organization.

The role requires deep experience in web development, cloud data stores, and modern tooling.

Competenze

• Eight or more years building web applications and workflow automation for business users.
• Leads a development team for multiple years and coaches performance discussions.
• Experience migrating or modernizing platforms without service disruption.
• Ability to judge build vs buy vs retire and justify AI/enterprise platform replacements.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and reviewing AI-generated code.

• Lead the design, build, test, and deployment of secure, maintainable applications and automations.
• Move the portfolio to a new environment, re-platform or retire legacy apps as needed.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development and define review, test, and security standards for AI code.
• Size, prioritize, and forecast requests with delivery leadership and stakeholders.
• Own technical relationships with partners, vendors, and procurement on technical aspects.
