Job summary

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Management Liability Claims Specialist. This role can be located at any IAT location and operates on a hybrid schedule with in-office Mon–Wed and optional remote Thu–Fri.

Responsibilities include handling EPL, D&O, fiduciary and crime claims; analyzing coverage; directing defense counsel; and preparing loss and exposure reports. Travel is expected approximately one day per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in management liability claims.
• 9+ years of relevant claims experience, including litigation.
• Strong coverage analysis and drafting coverage position letters.
• Experience handling litigated files and directing defense counsel.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel, average 1 day per month.

Responsibilities

• Handle Management Liability Claims (EPL, D&O, Fiduciary and Crime) for private and non-profit clients.
• Thoroughly analyze, investigate, negotiate and resolve all levels of severity claims within authority.
• Select and manage defense counsel, including budgets and strategy.
• Develop litigation/file disposition strategy; attend mediations, settlements and trials.
• Verify coverage and comply with claim guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Prepare reports reflecting loss development and financial exposure.
