Job summary

City of Shreveport is seeking a Management Analyst III to perform complex analyses of budgets, programs, and management practices across city departments. You will review methods, procedures, and organizational structures to identify efficiency gains and performance improvements.

The role requires strong research, survey design, data interpretation, and the ability to present written and oral reports to leadership. Advancement opportunities exist through the management services directorate.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of the methodology for conducting surveys and investigations.
• Basic knowledge of budgeting and statistics.
• Ability to plan and organize management studies and follow through on completion.
• Ability to present effective oral and written reports.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, department heads, officials, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex technical work involving budget and management investigations, surveys, research, and related activities.
• Review methods, procedures and organizations of city programs and departments.
• Design and conduct complex surveys and program evaluations to identify improvements in performance, coordination, efficiency, and control.
• Design, develop and implement revised management and budget procedures.
• Recommend actions affecting broad policy and procedural changes.
