Job summary

The City of Richmond is seeking a highly qualified Management Analyst, Principal, to provide executive level support across policy, budgeting, and program administration. This essential role requires senior analysis, independent work, and the ability to lead cross-functional projects for the Department of General Services.

You will coordinate budget preparation, financial forecasts, reports, and data analysis, while mentoring staff and representing the department on internal committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or related field.
• Five (5) years of journey-level professional experience.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional programs and provide executive level support.
• Coordinate budget preparation and financial forecasts.
• Prepare complex reports and analyses for leadership.
• Monitor staff workload and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Represent department on internal committees and task forces.
