Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, Nevada, seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic mammography/Dexa/X-ray procedures while upholding strict patient safety protocols. This role serves as the first point of contact with patients to ensure quality imaging and CQI participation.

Qualifications include ARRT radiography and Nevada certification, BLS, and preferably one year of mammography experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; BS degree preferred.
• ARRT radiography certification and mammography certification required.
• Nevada state radiation practice certification required.
• One-year mammography experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety during imaging procedures and exposure to minimize hazards.
• Assess patient pain and its impact on imaging procedures.
• Understand breast anatomy for accurate imaging.
• Perform all aspects of patient care to optimize safety and reduce errors.
