Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center, a 124-bed acute care hospital in Sparks, NV, seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography to join its imaging team. You will perform diagnostic mammography, Dexa and X-ray procedures while upholding patient safety protocols and CQI participation.

Responsibilities include ensuring patient comfort, assessing pain during imaging, and applying expertise in breast anatomy to minimize radiation exposure and optimize image quality.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; BS degree preferred.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and certified/board eligible in mammography.
• Certified in the State of Nevada to practice and administer radiation.
• One-year mammography experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards and extraneous radiation.
• Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure.
• Thorough understanding of breast anatomy.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
