Job summary

The City of Reno is recruiting for a Maintenance Worker III in the Streets Division. This internal recruitment is open to current City of Reno employees and focuses on complex maintenance of streets, sewers, and related public works facilities.

The ideal candidate will lead crews, train, and ensure safety in all work activities. Requirements include five years of relevant maintenance experience and CDL with endorsements, plus flagger certification.

Qualifications

• Five years of increasingly responsible maintenance/construction experience on streets, sewers, and related public works facilities.
• Two years at Maintenance Worker II or four years at Maintenance Worker I.
• CDL with endorsements and flagger certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train lower level maintenance staff in repair work on city facilities and streets.
• Supervise use and care of public works tools and equipment.
• Oversee complex street and sewer/ storm drain maintenance tasks and safety practices.
• Inspect work for quality and adherence to standards and specifications.
