Job summary

The City of Woodland is recruiting for a Maintenance Worker II to perform a range of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in streets and utilities infrastructure. The role supports the Public Works Department’s Streets Division and offers growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate has asphalt/concrete repair experience, can lead crews, plan projects, and communicate effectively with the public. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Three years of maintenance experience; supervisory experience desirable.
• Valid California CDL with Tank and Air Brake endorsements is required before permanent appointment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain streets, storm drainage, water distribution, and sewer systems.
• Lead a crew, plan projects, direct staff, and ensure safety compliance.
• Order materials, manage equipment, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with other departments and respond to public inquiries on issues.
