Job summary

Anchor Harvey in Illinois is seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech II to repair and improve facility equipment and forge presses. You will perform mechanical repairs, welding (Mig/Tig), and maintain control systems with PLCs, sensors, hydraulics, and pneumatics, while coordinating with electricians and machinists as needed.

The role requires at least 8 years of mechanical experience, ability to read drawings and manuals, and a focus on safety and efficiency in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to weld Mig and Tig.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment repairs.
• Minimum 8 years mechanical experience required.
• Mechanical and screw press experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment including 5500-ton forge presses.
• Perform Mig & Tig welding.
• Repair control systems using PLCs, switches, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics; fabricate parts.
• Maintain machines and related equipment using manuals and drawings.
• Rig and lift as required and instruct operators for proper care.
• Coordinate with maintenance team and subcontractors as needed.
