Job summary

Heartland Farms Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain plant equipment across the facility, focusing on hydraulic systems, electrical controls, and light fabrication.

You will read schematics, use multimeters, follow safety programs, and train junior staff. A High School Diploma and welding training are required; valid driver’s license and 3+ years of experience are preferred. On-site work with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma.
• ARC, MIG and TIG welding training is required.
• Experience with A/C, D/C, motor controls and VFD drives preferred.
• Experience with Automation, PLCs I/O, HMI interface, and Ethernet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, installs, repairs, and maintains plant machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs machines and equipment.
• Uses work order system to initiate and track repairs.
• Welds/cuts/grinds metals for repair/light fabrication.
• Reads electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, manuals and parts lists to repair and install equipment.
• Uses multimeters and test equipment as required.
• Installs/moves machines and electrical equipment.
• Assists in training of less experienced maintenance personnel.
• Rebuilds/modifies machines and equipment as required.
• Safely performs work using ladders and lifts.
• Supports the safety program.
