Job summary
Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Maintenance Technician to operate in an industrial steel fabrication and manufacturing environment. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, electrical/mechanical repairs, PLCs, and calibration of automation systems, ensuring safety and reliability.
Strong welding and fabrication experience is preferred, with a emphasis on continuous improvement and collaboration with shop personnel.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in industrial maintenance or related field.
- Experience with automation, electrical, hydraulic systems and pneumatics.
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, PLC drawings and diagrams.
- Welding/metal fabrication experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety protocols including lockout/tagout and arc flash.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery for reliability.
- Troubleshoot automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components.
- Install and calibrate automation systems and PLCs.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain spare parts/tools.
- Collaborate with production to address issues promptly.
- Stay updated on automation technology and training.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
