Job summary

The Wine Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 2 to maintain and repair complex plant equipment, facilities, and grounds. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, fabricate parts, and weld using MIG, TIG, and stick techniques.

You will oversee maintenance projects and mentor others while ensuring safe operation and compliance with food safety standards. Strong welding and systems knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older at time of hire.
• 5+ years’ experience as Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent.
• Able to work independently on any shift with minimal supervision.
• Understand written and verbal work orders and instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Must demonstrate advanced welding.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic systems, motors, and pumps.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical Systems and Ammonia Systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems.
• Basic computer skills – Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Read and interpret Blueprint and Schematic (mechanical and electrical).
• Must pass forklift, aerial lift, and scissor lift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of plant equipment, facilities, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
• Fabricate parts and brackets; perform welding (MIG, TIG, stick).
• Oversee projects for maintenance department as assigned by leadership.
• Disassemble and rebuild winery parts and equipment; test repairs.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Interact and communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
