Job summary

The Wine Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for our California facility. You will perform mechanical maintenance, welding, and hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical repairs across plant equipment, including ammonia refrigeration systems, PLC basics, and related controls.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of experience, are proficient in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and can read schematics.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older at time of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have 5+ years’ experience as Maintenance Mechanic.
• Must be able to work independently on any assigned shift with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to comprehend and carry out written and verbal work orders and instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Must demonstrate the ability of advanced welding.
• Possess strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic systems, motors, and pumps.
• Must pass and maintain valid forklift certification, aerial lift, and scissor lift.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, and demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must pass all applicable testing.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced welding and fabricate, weld, grind, and build mechanical parts and brackets.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic systems, motors, and pumps.
• Work with Electrical Systems and Ammonia Systems; read schematics and troubleshoot at multiple voltages.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble winery parts/equipment for maintenance.
• Assist in PM and root cause analysis and contribute to equipment improvements.
