Job summary

Shasta Beverages, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain production and facility equipment, install new equipment, and manage preventive maintenance programs.

The ideal candidate will be a full journeyman in machine repair or plant mechanic, able to read mechanical/electrical prints and schematics, with strong problem-solving skills and a readiness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical college preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field; beverage experience a plus.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and MP2 software; PLC experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; English required; Spanish preferred.
• Must be 18+; favorable background and drug screen.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform changeovers, answer line calls, and troubleshoot.
• Apply basic electrical skills.
• Repair and maintain high-speed production equipment.
• Follow safety protocols; lockout/tagout; OSHA training.
• Respond to line supervisor/operator repair calls.
• Perform package changeovers on equipment.
• Schedule preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Participate in daily meetings and report objectives.
• Install/rebuild equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Develop maintenance needs and requirements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems promptly.
• Work independently after general instructions.
• Lead and resolve complex issues.
• Interact positively with public and employees.
• Coordinate multiple projects with priorities.
• Synthesize complex information.
• Negotiate in competitive environments.
• Understand electrical controls.
• Work 12-hour shifts; flexible schedule including weekends.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
