Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Malta Fab 8 site.

The role involves monitoring, sustaining and improving semiconductor equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and communicating status to leads and engineers to ensure manufacturing readiness. The position requires standing for long shifts in a cleanroom, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and strong hands-on skills in electrical/mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• 2-year technical degree or 6+ years of relevant experience as alternative.
• 2 years of relevant military experience and 4 years of relevant experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and perform preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate with Lead Tech and Engineer; communicate status and shift handoffs.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security policies.
