Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to troubleshoot, repair, and improve a wide range of production and facility equipment with minimal supervision. You will perform advanced mechanical maintenance, lead routine and emergency repairs, and support continuous operations by enhancing equipment reliability and executing intermediate-level preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience in automotive, machining, or manufacturing environments.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic methods.
Hands-on maintenance and repair of production equipment (presses, saws, CNCs, dies, etc.).
Proficiency in preventive maintenance, planning, execution, and documentation of PM activities.
Ability to fabricate or modify fixtures and small components.
Competence with precision measuring tools and alignment procedures.
Experience with electrical systems including PLC troubleshooting and 3‑phase power.
Industrial maintenance background with installation, service, and repair of production equipment.
Ability to document repair logs and maintenance records accurately.
Strong communication, reliability, and accountability.
Safety-conscious and able to work around machinery.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on production equipment and related tooling.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
Lead scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs, including emergency breakdowns.
Perform preventive maintenance with root-cause analysis and PM schedule improvements.
Assist with plant changes, machine installation prep, and layout modifications on the floor.
Assist with basic electrical tasks and PLC-related troubleshooting as trained.
Keep detailed repair logs and maintenance records up-to-date.
Maintain spare parts inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safety standards.
Participate in onsite leadership discussions to review maintenance practices.
