Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to improve, maintain, and repair equipment across manufacturing, production, and packaging.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and process issues, support plant maintenance strategies, and ensure 24/7 process monitoring with timely responses to alarms and maintenance requests. Strong PLC knowledge and safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or technical certification preferred.
• Mechatronics Certifications (Levels 1–7) completed.
• 5–7 years hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Familiar with PLC programming, mechanical and electrical maintenance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance of utilities systems in a multi-craft environment.
• Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) and ensure timely work order completion.
• Conduct routine chemical testing and adjust operations for cooling towers and boilers.
• Monitor HVAC systems and adjust controls for proper operation.
• Provide 24/7 automated process monitoring and respond as needed.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Planner on supplies and vendor interactions.
• Maintain equipment through PM, PdM, and corrective actions; identify upgrades.
• Report unsafe equipment and suggest repairs or replacements.
• Assist with engineering on projects and equipment layout or redesign.
