Job summary

Meijer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Tipp City, Ohio facility. You will perform routine and emergency maintenance, support PM/PdM, and ensure safe, reliable operation of utilities, HVAC, and process systems.

You will read blueprints, work with PLCs and VFDs, and collaborate with engineering and operations to improve equipment and reduce downtime. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Associates degree or certification in a technical field preferred.
• Mechatronics certifications for Levels 1-7 completed.
• 5-7 years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with SQF, GMPs, LOTO and Lean manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; operate basic machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance of utilities systems in a multi-craft environment.
• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and timely work order completion.
• Perform routine chemical testing and adjustments for cooling towers and boil water.
• Monitor heating/ventilation systems and adjust controls.
• Provide 24/7 automated process monitoring and respond as needed.
• Work with Maintenance Planner to manage chemical supplies and vendors.
• Maintain equipment via PM, PdM and corrective maintenance.
• Notify leadership of unsafe equipment and recommend repairs.
• Suggest design improvements on existing and new equipment.
• May train and direct other technicians.
