Job summary

Meijer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support planning, scheduling and maintenance of water treatment, refrigeration, boiler systems and related equipment at its manufacturing facilities. You will handle regulatory records, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs in a multi-craft environment.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in food manufacturing, HVAC certification, and Mechatronics certification levels 1–4 with strong troubleshooting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Mechatronics Certifications Levels 1-4 completed are preferred.
• 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Ammonia/HVAC and refrigerant systems is required.
• Knowledge of general mechanical systems and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and maintain facilities operations.
• Maintain water treatment, refrigeration, boiler, and related equipment.
• Keep regulatory and compliance records for systems.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on utilities systems (PLC, instrumentation, mechanical, equipment).
• Complete preventative maintenance and work orders promptly.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with other duties as required.
• Uphold 200% safety accountability in self and others.
