Job summary

Campbell Soup Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep our fully automated bakery production plant operating safely and efficiently. You will mentor Zone 2/3 mechanics in preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of mechanical and electromechanical equipment, while supporting a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with trade school or an Associate degree, 8+ years of related experience, and SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; trade school certificate or Associate degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Eight+ years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to learn and correctly utilize SAP to document daily work.
• Read machine prints/schematics (mechanical and electrical); read instruments; use hand and power tools; strong planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Advanced knowledge of piping, electrical, welding, and fabricating to set up, repair, and troubleshoot plant equipment.
• Diagnose machine control issues using PLC and other controls.
• Respond to line calls; complete corrective and preventative work orders.
• Maintain multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Use inventory system and shop terminals to locate parts.
• Work in temperature extremes and in flour/dusty environments.
• Communicate clearly with team members and customers.
• Follow safety procedures; GMPs and food safety policies.
• Participate on plant teams (focused improvement, safety).
• Other duties as assigned.
