Job summary

Nordic Naturals in Vista, CA seeks a Sr. Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve production and facility equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.

You will troubleshoot, mentor junior technicians, support process improvements, and ensure GMP and safety standards while coordinating with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and boost performance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a team leader capacity.
• Able to lead and interact with groups at all levels independently.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of organization in a timely and efficient manner.
• Able to work three shift rotation (If required or in case of emergency).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment used in softgel, liquid, and gummy manufacturing.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems including motors, sensors, wiring, switches, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems such as conveyors, pumps, mixers, and filling machines.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, compressors, and regulators.
• Work with PLCs to identify and resolve control system issues; assist with basic programming and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and drawings to support troubleshooting and repair.
• Help install, relocate, and modify equipment as needed.
• Document maintenance activities using Fiix CMMS and ensure GMP and safety compliance.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase reliability and safety.
• Mentor junior maintenance technicians and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
