Qualifications

• Must pass XXXX Certification before advancing to MMIII
• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma
• 4–6+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in plant packaging machinery
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLCs and pneumatics
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and technical documentation
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Root cause analysis and equipment reliability improvements
• MS Office proficiency and cross-functional communication
• GMP, HACCP, and safety procedures knowledge

Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues on production equipment
• Perform and lead advanced preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
• Maintain, adjust, and optimize production equipment to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
• Support and lead installation, commissioning, and validation of new or upgraded equipment
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to resolve issues
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory usage
• Partner closely with production to resolve issues and minimize downtime
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventative solutions
• Provide guidance, training, and support to Mechanic I and II team members
• Communicate effectively with equipment manufacturers and external vendors
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, cGMP-compliant environment
