Job summary

Equity Residential in Hyattsville, MD is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician who will promptly address resident service requests and perform a range of hands-on maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC. You will prepare market-ready apartments and contribute to maintaining community grounds.

The role may involve assisting in inventory management and, when needed, stepping into managerial duties in the Service Manager's absence.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in areas including, but not limited to plumbing, electrical, appliance, and HVAC is necessary.
• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation is required if operating a motorized vehicle.
• Computer literacy, and ability to communicate effectively in English for work purposes.
• Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• EPA Section 608 Type I and Type II or Universal certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire if required.
• Ability to respond to emergencies after hours and on weekends when on-call.
• A telephone number for after-hours contact must be provided.

Responsibilities
