Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid driver license, vehicle liability insurance, and a good driving record.
• Minimum of five years experience working in a maintenance-related field preferred.
• Possess mechanical aptitude.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electricity, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and read operating manuals.
• Must be able to work as a team member.
• Able to operate all equipment safely.
• Lift up to 75 pounds; capable of bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and possess excellent judgment.
• Basic computer skills; email and iPhone to complete work orders.
• Possess high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Works independently with little direction.
• Performs skilled maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, electronic, HVAC and other building systems.
• Mentors lower level technicians and provides on-the-job training.
• Performs plumbing tasks: cut, thread, assemble, lay pipe; install/repair toilets.
• Estimate labor and material costs for work orders.
• Travel between facilities for projects and orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical switches, wiring, and components.
• Operate equipment and power tools as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Be available 24/7 for emergencies and snow removal in winter.
• All other duties as assigned.
