Job summary

Bozzuto in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to lead troubleshooting and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation and security systems across our residential properties. You will respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours and support preventative maintenance programs while upholding safety standards.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience is preferred; HVAC/EPA certification is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in residential property management.
• Team oriented, sociable, assertive, objective, conscientious, tolerant with attention to detail.
• HVAC, EPA Certification strongly preferred.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or appliance repair expertise.
• Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs occasionally and 25–50 lbs frequently, and 10–20 lbs constantly.
• Reliable transportation to respond to after-hours emergencies including nights/weekends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills and ability to use various software/apps.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead role in troubleshooting and adjusting control systems; ensure daily functioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation and security systems.
• Maintain the property asset per Management with advanced skills in apartment maintenance.
• Respond quickly to deficiencies found in preventative maintenance inspections.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to complete the Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Respond to all maintenance requests within 24 hours.
• Provide professional and timely follow-up with residents, vendors and property management.
• Adhere to building codes, safety standards and fair housing laws; ensure safety compliance with company and laws.
• Work weekends or evenings and be on call for after-hours emergencies.
