Job summary

Prospera Housing Community Services seeks a Maintenance Technician III to oversee advanced maintenance tasks and lead projects across its portfolio. You will handle electrical/plumbing work, HVAC maintenance, and preventive schedules while mentoring junior staff.

The role reports to the Regional Maintenance Manager and emphasizes compliance with HUD/TDHCA standards, safety, and efficient property operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in property maintenance or related field.
• License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Certifications: OSHA 10-Hour General Industry; EPA certification; CPO certification if required by property.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance tasks, including electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Conduct HVAC maintenance and repairs independently.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff.
• Complete unit make-readies and ensure vacant units ready for leasing.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Respond to routine maintenance requests and emergencies.
