Job summary

Prospera Housing Community Services seeks a Maintenance Technician III to oversee advanced maintenance across properties. You will lead projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural work to keep units ready for leasing.

You will mentor junior staff, follow safety standards, and ensure compliance with HUD/TDHCA regulations while coordinating with regional managers and property teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in property maintenance or related field.
• License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Certifications: OSHA 10-Hour General Industry; EPA and CPO within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Conduct HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff.
• Complete unit make-readies for leasing.
• Ensure safety compliance and participate in on-call rotation.
