Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain the physical condition of our communities and deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure timely completion of service requests.

Role includes supervising technicians, coordinating with contractors, and upholding safety standards across facilities. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years maintenance experience or 4+ years with EPA 608 Universal certification.
• Certifications or degree in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance Repair, or Carpentry desired.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs.
• Ability to train less senior technicians.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more assets and supervise maintenance engineers and technicians, coordinating maintenance and contractor activities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions.
• Work on a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
