Job summary

Volt is seeking a Maintenance Technician III in San Diego, CA 92121 to support complex automated manufacturing equipment and maximize productivity. This full-time contract role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years in industrial maintenance.

Ideal candidates will be experienced with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems, plus CMMS familiarity (Maximo or SAP PM). The position follows a 3rd shift (9:30 PM–5:30 AM) with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment.
Experience with CMMS Maximo or SAP PM.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex automated manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on production equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, and automation-related issues.
Monitor equipment performance, cycle times, and production metrics to achieve OEE targets.
Utilize CMMS systems to document maintenance activities and equipment history.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, and work instructions.
Use diagnostic software and tools to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
