Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for 1st and 2nd shifts in the Cleveland area. You will perform facility and equipment maintenance, document activities in CMMS, and respond to maintenance requests to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

You'll troubleshoot mechanical systems, patient care equipment, HVAC and related infrastructure, read blueprints, conduct preventive checks, and support emergency repairs while following applicable codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification and/or additional training in a skill/trade/equipment/system applicable to job needs.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility and equipment; documents in CMMS.
• Troubleshoots mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, doors, boilers, etc.) with minimal guidance.
• Maintains patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, pipes, gas systems) with minimal guidance.
• Performs routine to complex general maintenance (grounds, carpentry, painting, snow).
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, power outages, etc.) and notifies status.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Reads blueprints and manuals for tasks.
