Job summary

Butcher Power Products is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician, Mechanical, HVAC & Plumbing to diagnose, repair, and maintain critical mechanical systems across our manufacturing locations. You will support HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and facility-related infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires EPA 608 Type II certification and 5+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC or mechanical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus related technical training or apprenticeship.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II) required.
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults to component level.
• Experience with compressed air systems, pumps, motors, drives, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
• Perform refrigerant handling in compliance with EPA requirements.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs for HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot thermostats, controls, sensors, and building automation systems.
• Maintain compressed air systems, pumps, motors, drives, and rotating equipment.
• Coordinate and oversee HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contractors.
• Participate in commissioning and startup activities for new facilities and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain required certifications.
