Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Building Systems HVAC Technician to maintain and optimize climate control systems across our facilities in Maryland. The role focuses on proactive maintenance, diagnostic repairs, and ensuring peak equipment performance to support a stable environment.

You will diagnose issues with environmental controls, boilers, pumps, and compressors, perform installations on motors and fans, and document all actions in a CMMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of experience in commercial or residential HVAC maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License and EPA 608 Certification.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical as-built drawings.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Competency in Microsoft Office for reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including air handling units, VAV boxes, and mechanical equipment, while accurately documenting all actions in a CMMS.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with electronic and pneumatic environmental controls, boilers, pumps, and compressors to minimize system downtime.
• Perform installations and repairs on motors, fans, and mechanical components to ensure the longevity and reliability of facility infrastructure.
• Monitor and inspect environmental control systems using advanced testing techniques to identify potential failures before they impact operations.
• Coordinate with and escort subcontractors to ensure all site work adheres to safety standards and project requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly following OSHA and internal safety protocols.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to build collective expertise across various maintenance disciplines.
