Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for a rapidly growing 70,000 sq. ft. food manufacturing operation in Vernon, CA.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed automated production equipment and support PLC systems to minimize downtime. Schedule: 4:30am-1:00pm, Monday to Friday. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, annual bonus incentives and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Electrical troubleshooting on 480V and below.
  • Experience with VFDs, servo systems, motor controls, and automation.
  • Troubleshooting relays, contactors, sensors, and control circuits.
  • PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley or Siemens).
  • Familiarity with HMIs and instrumentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, pipefitting.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, or ultrasound monitoring.
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Industrial Electrical Certification or Technical Degree; OSHA Electrical Safety; HACCP; Welding Certifications; Forklift/Scissor Lift certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed automated production equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related issues
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Troubleshoot motors, drives, VFDs, electrical panels, sensors, safety circuits, and control systems
  • Support PLC troubleshooting activities, including ladder logic review and I/O diagnostics
  • Maintain equipment reliability while minimizing downtime
  • Perform precision equipment rebuilds, alignments, and installations
  • Utilize CMMS systems to document work orders and maintenance activities
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with plant safety and sanitation standards

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed automated production equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience with 480V and below systems
  • Experience working with VFDs, servo systems, motor controls, and industrial automation
  • Ability to troubleshoot relays, contactors, photo eyes, proximity sensors, safety devices, and control circuits
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial instrumentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, pipefitting, and precision alignment
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, or ultrasound monitoring
  • Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, packaging, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred
